Evaluation Question 3

Question 3: What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Karen & I found it easier to address this question together as we had made the music video together. A bonus of us looking at the audience feedback as a duo, meant that we could have more than our own interpretation of what we got from our audience feedback and how we learnt from it.

In previous posts under the 'Audience Feedback' tag, the mid-shoot feedback mentioned in the video can be found. Below is the two template questions that we asked on both occasions.

Phonto

When I started to plan my digipack and advert, I decided I wanted to go against using photoshop only and to look around with what programmes and apps that were avaliable to use. As luck would have it, I came across a celebrities post on instagram where their photo had a really cool font on it that I had never seen before and the layering looked quite professional. Luckily for me, someone had commented that the app used was PHONTO.

After playing around with the settings, I found this app extremely helpful in the development of both the back and front covers of my digipack and also the beginning of my advert.

Magazine - FINAL PRODUCT

After much consideration, I have decided that the final magazine coursework is my second draft. This is because I feel it looks more professional and suits the theme and genre better than the others. It has a more consistent colour scheme and is able to read as well as being not too simple.

Magazine Draft (2)

This is the other draft of the magazine task which I'm slightly leaning towards more. This is because I feel like it looks more professional and more simple and in with the theme. I have used the same font and background picture as the other draft but feel that this way suits better. I think this will be the final product.

Firstly I used the 'PHONTO' app in order to have the background image have the same font - Blanch Condensed Inline - as the album cover.

With Microsoft Word, I used the tools available to add the extra font using 'Marker Felt' in order to make the writing stand out and be consistent around the advert.

Radio 1 seems to be a consistent feature in my personal collection of music as they have a respectable  reputation as reviewers of music as they play all genres and are heavily featured in promotions. So to appeal to the audiences, I decided to add it in.

Since the advert is to make consumers aware the album is being released, it is key for them to know the ways the can pre-order the album. I chose iTunes as thats what I found most people used from doing audience views earlier on in the course and also amazon which is taken from other research.
