First Song Ideas for our Music Video

For our groups music video we’ve been discussing what genre of music we would want to use and have started researching some songs to consider. We have to be considerate of the fact that we are a group of girls that our producing the video as we need to make sure there is a lead female vocalist so that it will not look weird.

1.     Pixie Lott – “Band Aid”
Although Pixie Lott is a famous artist and has had a number of singles and album’s released, this song did not make it to be one on her album that would have a music video made. I like this song as it has a good beat and is an upbeat song that I think suits the type of music that we want. I think we would be able to create a good music video to represent the lyrics and make sure they can link together. The only wall that we may face is trying to get permission to use this as it can be seen as copyrighted.

2.     Mandy Capristo – “The Way I Like It”
Again not many people will be aware of Mandy Capristo as she is a German artist and it could work in our favour if we can get over the copyright. This song has the freedom of what we can use and perform to sculpt our video into what represents the lyrics. This song does has an official video but I feel we can do a completely different type of video but still keep true to the lyrics.

3.     Taylor Swift – “I Knew You Where Trouble”
This has an official video and also is a copyrighted song but it is a female artist with a good upbeat tempo which will allow us to use it and construct our video to the way we want it as the official one only shows Swift singing on stage.
